Netty is an asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients.

Netty is a NIO client server framework which enables quick and easy development of network applications such as protocol servers and clients. It greatly simplifies and streamlines network programming such as TCP and UDP socket server.

Netty 是一个事件驱动的异步网络应用程序框架, 主要用来快速开发,可维护的高性能的协议的服务器 & 客户端。 简化了 流式网络编程,比如 TCP 和 UDP socket 的服务器。

‘Quick and easy’ doesn’t mean that a resulting application will suffer from a maintainability or a performance issue. Netty has been designed carefully with the experiences earned from the implementation of a lot of protocols such as FTP, SMTP, HTTP, and various binary and text-based legacy protocols. As a result, Netty has succeeded to find a way to achieve ease of development, performance, stability, and flexibility without a compromise.

快速且容易,并不意味着应用程序将遭受 可维护性 或者性能的问题。 Netty 从很多协议,以及诸多遗留的 二进制的遗留协议中学习,并仔细设计过。 结果就是, Netty 成功的找到一个条在 开发,性能,可靠性,灵活性之间的平衡。

  • Note: Some components such as HTTP/2 might have more requirements. Please refer to the Requirements page for more information.
